Armageddon

Whew! Just got back from my uncle’s cottage north of Oshawa where we were working on demos for two new songs. One sounds like The Prodigy! Sort of. Regardless, you should check out this video of them playing Firestarter in 1996!

Feature

When we weren’t building fires or making crazy techno synth sounds we were eating Apple Pie and watching Armageddon on VHS. Hence the photo, above, from the opening credits. Aerosmith is so all over the soundtrack to that movie. Yikes.

Have a great Christmas and we’ll see you December 28th at the Drake!

Cheers,
JO

Modern Clubbing

Hey Pals,

If you’re not watching Eagles vs. Falcons this coming Sunday you should definitely come see us play at the Mod Club here in downtown Toronto. We got a last minute gig opening for Mew, who according to my online research are both:

1. Danish
2. Proggy

Tim and Kyle are also fresh off two full days in the studio touching up some of our new material, which we’ll totally be playing at the show.  I can’t wait to hit up the Dominion across the street after the gig for some baked goods.

Danish, anyone?

Woody!

Here’s a new video that our pals at Vancouver based video blog Winnie Cooper put together after interviewing Greg, Kyle, and I during Pop Montreal this past October.  How they copped that footy from White Men Can’t Jump I’ll probably never know.  Shit, I don’t even want to know.  Copyright!

In other news, we’ve been hard at work on some new tracks and will be hitting the studio again this December.  As Morrissey once said – “these things take time”.

Stay safe,

John O
